This afternoon I had the continuing Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (Eastern ssp.) in NE Portland. I believe that Casey Cunningham first found it around December 1st, and it was seen by others through the 14th. Today I first searched near Johnson Lake before finding it along the nearby slough. It was just barely in the Portland CBC circle before heading eastward further down the slough, so a nice first CBC record clinched for count week if it doesn't show up on Saturday. I don't believe that the bluebirds have been found yet for count week - I looked for an hour this afternoon to no avail.
