Of course, sandhill is one word, tho spellchecker is trying to tell me
otherwise.

I wonder if they were first seen in the Nebraska Sandhills region and
thus the name. Also wonder who first saw/named them other than native
Americans. Possibly, the Lewis & Clark expedition members...
