Happy Holiday to all

After getting an e -mail from Penny Warren stating that on Jean & Bobby Whitecarver's property , the Swoope Bald Eagles have built a new nest on their property about a half mile ( as an Eagle flies ) from where the old nest site was before it fell down this past summer . Any way I went out this morning to look where it was located at & it can be seen from Cattleman Rd at a distance but on N. Mountain Rd just after the bridge it is a closer but still at a distance ( not as close as the old nest site ) . Both Eagles were at the nest today . At Smith's Pond there were about 25 to 30 + green - winged Teal , 20+ mallard & 2 Black Duck . On Bells Lane there were 9 Common Merganser's , 10 Hooded Merganser's , 12 Gadwall , 5 Mallard , one Wood Duck at the Beaver pond area .
