Subject: IBET Lake Glenview and Lake Opeka
Visited Wild Birds Unlimited out in Glenview on Saturday. While I was the
neighborhood I walked around Lake Glenview. There was no ice on the entire
lake.
I walked the mud path instead of the paved path in most places hoping to
see some sparrows or other species. I only found the Cardinals on my
entire trip around the lake.
It was still a good day for a walk.

Mallards (46)
Canada Geese (67)
Ring-Billed Gull (36)
Herring Gull (7)
Common Merganser (12)
Red-breasted Merganser (2)
Cardinal (2)

Lake Opeka was completely frozen over with the only species I could count
were 63 Canada Geese on the far south lawn.

Merry Christmas to all my bird loving friends.
