Subject: Iceland Gull on Thomas Hill Reservoir near T hwy causeway
Paul Mckenzie and I spent the last hours of 28 November with a very long
wide line of foraging gulls and ducks just north of the causeway on T
Highway in Macon Co. We walked down along the shoreline from the Gaslight
Pl access off of Golden Avenue. There were several immature Herring Gulls,
and at least one adult and one Iceland Gull along with myriad Ring-billed
and Bonaparte's gulls. Paul counted almost 2000 Hooded Mergansers in the
mixed duck species raft.
