Subject: [obol] Sauvie Island today
The East County bird club visited the island today. Started out in fog on Rentenauur road with many Snow Geese, Cacklers, Sandhill Cranes, a couple dozen Swans.

As light improved we got on a Red Shoulder Hawk and White Throated Sparrow at the swampy area that is on both sides of the road, about 3/4 of the way out towards the end.

A young Shrike seen briefly at the end of the road.

East side viewing station gave us a Merlin, Peregrine, good variety of waterfowl.

There should be e-bird lists by John Foster for the two sites
