I thought this was interesting and appropriate for this listserve as it involves one of my favorite SC birds (barn swallow) and a USC Professor is a co-author. It deals with radiation caused mutations in barn swallows after the Chernobyl disaster.

It shows how serious radiation is. I believe SC has the highest percentage of its power generated by nuclear generation in the US and Illinois has the highest total power generation. This map shows how surrounded we are.

Also, the Robinson Plant is Hartsville is one of the older plants. For what it is worth.
