Subject: [MASSBIRD] 11/21 Winter Finches and Ovenbird at Moose Hill Sanctuary
The more I bird here, the more beautiful it seems to be! I birded from 12:00-4:20. The great thing about coming to the town of Sharon is that once you arrive at the train station, you can hit the ground birding, literally. I had thirteen bird species from the parking lot alone. (it backs up onto Beaver Brook Conservation Area.) All birds are from Mass Audubon's Moose Hill except the bluebirds:

Pileated Woodpecker 1                  Pine Trail; heard pecking
Brown Creeper 3
Red-breasted Nuthatch 40             probably three hundred or more in the entire sanctuary; amazing
Eastern Bluebird 4                        Moose Hill Farm crabapples (not to be confused with Moose Hill Community Farm)
OVENBIRD 1                               Pine Trail
Fox Sparrow 3                              Pine Trail
RED CROSSBILL 1                      Pine Trail; amazingly loud call; unseen
PINE SISKIN 10+                         Pine Trail
