Greetings all,

While rushing to walk my dog before leaving for our Thanksgiving trek
yesterday morning, I encountered a small group (2-3, unsure because of
the distance, lack of binoculars, and nasty weather) of sandhill cranes
in the harvested corn fields on Baileys Lane in West Newbury.  They were
calling and flying around beyond the giant “marshmallow” hay bales
before the treeline in the fields on the east side of the road.
