Subject: [southbaybirds] Palm Warbler and Chestnut-collared Longspur
Both species seen today (11/15/2018)
The Palm Warbler was loosely associating with a very large number of Yellow-rumped Warblers. The Yellow-rumped Warblers were often seen feeding on the pistache fruits. One female Nuttall's Woodpecker seen and heard. One Cedar Waxwing was also seen. The Palm Warbler was seen in and around the kiddie playground (west of the restroom building) working in the wood chips under the play equipment. Photos and more detail at

The Chestnut-collared Longspur eventually landed fairly close to me in the green, grassy area at the Shoreline Kite area after a 30 minute wait.  Photos at
