Nope, it isn't countable because it isn't from a self-sustaining population.
Karen's original post's subject line is "Captive-Reared Whooping Crane in
Monroe Co." and she says "L4-17 a female Whooping Crane from the
Experimental Whooping Crane Population established in Coastal Louisiana."
