Subject: [CT Birds] Late Report on Lighthouse Park Sunday - Migration Notes
219 raptors, including a some excellent shows.  First a 3rd year Bald Eagle smacking a bunker out of an Osprey's talons, and into the woods (dangling participle - the fish fell in the woods).  Then two Peregrine Falcons screaming in aerial combat.  Then, a juv Red-tail hopping all over the lawn feeding on insects.
Other migrants included a Cape May Warbler (Julian Hough, photo), a Chimney Swift, (presumably present for days), a N Rough-winged Swallow, 2 Ea Meadowlarks, 33+  Pine Siskins and 96+ Ea Bluebirds (many heard-only, many other probably not seen).  Many other Finches, Pipits, Yellow-rumped Warblers, Chickadees, Kinglets.  And, 31,133 Common Grackles.  Full report on eBird S49708997.
