Raptor Observations: G.E.Juv.-4:00;SubAd.-11:05&4:43;Ad.-11:15&11:47 B.E.Imm.-4:14; 2-Ad.@4:14 NOGO between 3&4 hour traveling with a Red tail. Excellent comparative study! Very interesting sighting of a leucistic Red tail in the P.M. Extensive white on the head, neck, back and upper wings. Initially thought to be Bald Eagle but as bird got closer realized size not correct and other ID points for R.T. became apparent. Anyone else witness this bird in transit?
Non-raptor Observations: Monarchs, Stink Bugs, Lady Bugs and one other annoying pest. Thought we were done with the latter 3. Happy to see Monarchs still moving past the watch.
Predictions: Thunderstorms and rain. Not a good day to be on the mountain! ======================================================================== Report submitted by David Schwenk (<schwenkde...>) Second Mountain information may be found at: 2ndmtn.shutterfly.com
