This first day of November brought a new visitor and an increase in other species.
New to the yard Nov. 1st, an Eastern Towhee spent much of the day foraging under the forsythia.
Am. Goldfinches increased in numbers after I added a thistle seed sock feeder to the menu.
The count was higher for White-throat Sp. & White-crowned Sparrows along with a nice increase in Purple Finches from a pair yesterday to a flock of 10 or more today.
A flock of American Robins & the Red-breasted Nuthatch are still hanging around the yard.
