Thanks to Jeanette & Jim Scott for finding a great bird. Thanks to Isaac
Denzer for recognizing what it is.

There is a female BLACK SCOTER at the Huddleston Pond, AKA the Willamina
fishing pond, in Willamina.
This is a Yamhill County first sighting!

Yes, Quinton, you do get credit for getting there first (2:50 PM) ahead of
me (3:40 PM). You live closer and you weren't taking a nap.

Thanks to Andy Frank for waking me up when he saw the OBOL post.

P.S. Doug Robinson, note my eBird report. ;-) It took a lot longer to make
that work than my simple notebook that I'm used to.

Present on the pond as of right now (2:50pm).

Do I get extra credit for getting here before Paul Sullivan?

Hi all,

I just found some photos on eBird labeled as Ruddy Duck. They are actually
of a female type *Black Scoter*. The photos were taken today around 9:00
at the Huddleston Fish Pond
in Willamina. Hopefully it'll stick around, so others can see it.

You can see the photos on this eBird list

Good birding,

Isaac Denzer
