Random meaningless musings follow.

There's an Irish folk song, full of lovely poetry and folk wisdom, about the joys of mountain dew, aka poteen, aka moonshine. One verse goes:

Throw away your pills!
It'll cure all ills,
Be you pagan, Christian, or Jew,
Take off your coat,
And grease your throat,
With the real, old, mountain dew.

It exemplifies how I feel about birding. Each time I go birding, life's burdens lighten.
