Subject: [CT Birds] Old Lyme birds
I checked out a few spots in Old Lyme today.

Smith Neck Rd. Boat Launch: lots of sparrows. Of note, 1 Lincoln’s and 11 juv. White-crowned.

Smith Neck Rd, among the goodies: 2 Purple Finches, 1 Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker, 1 Hermit Thrush, both Kinglets, 1 Palm Warbler, 2 Greater Yellowlegs flying over

DEEP Headquarters: Sparrows seemed to have flown the coop. Not much there.

Shippee Pond, next to DEEP: a flock of at least 12 Flickers taking refuge in one tree from a “keeeering” RT Hawk. Sparrows much fewer here than last week.
