> Comments: Our last Saturday Bird Walk of the season was a quiet end for the year. It was a clear day and warmer than earlier in the week. The lighting and autumn colors were beautiful but the birds were few. In fact, all the days this fall seemed slower and less birdy than past years. Maybe something to do with the stranger weather patterns.
> Counts below are accurate or a little under; x = too hard or too many to count.
> 19 species
> Canada Goose X
> Mallard 1
> Chimney Swift 3 Definitely three flying overhead at the first part of the walk, the grassy area east of the bird feeders. They were coming from the south-east, made some passes over and then progressed back toward the south-east again. I suspect they are nearby residents who are late to leave.

> Red-bellied Woodpecker 2
> Downy Woodpecker 3
> Hairy Woodpecker 1

> Nashville Warbler 1 Initially ID'd as an Orange-Crowned Warbler but voted down as it was showing an eye-ring and distinct gray head with a uniform strong yellow underside.
