Subject: [hmbirds] Shorebirds at Basic Creek
At the north end of Basic Creek Reservoir there are currently about 23 Dunlin, as well as at least a couple of Pectoral Sandpipers and Greater Yellowlegs. They're quite distant, not easy to ID even with a scope. But after watching them for a while I was able to make out shape, long drooping bills, and size comparison to Greater Yellowlegs and other nearby species. There is a decent assortment of waterfowl, though nothing particularly notable. Seven Mute Swans continue.
