Subject: IBET Brave Mourning Dove - Backyard sightings today
Pulled a muscle reffing soccer this morning so I was limited to watching my
feeders this afternoon.

I saw something I have not seen before. A large Mourning Dove under a box
feeder spread its wings and flapped them to chase away a squirrel. It
actually made a rush at it to chase it from its feeding spot several
times. I have never seen that by a Dove before.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Today's list

4 Cardinals
2 Blue Jays
2 BC Chickadees
1 Downy WP
1 Hairy WP
4 WT Sparrows
1 WC Sparrow
19 Juncos (all at one time)
5 Mourning Doves
6 House Finches

high count of about 120 House Sparrows

No Red Bellied WP or Red Breasted Nuthatch today. They have been regulars
to my WP set up.
