Subject: [CT Birds] Waterford yard: Dickcissel
Waterford yard: a yard first! one dull Dickcissel with barely any yellow on the breast but a Dickcissel nonetheless. Photos taken.

Also, 2 f. Purple Finches, 4 possibly more imm. White-crowned Sparrows feeding with several WT Sparrows.

Numbers of yard birds down from huge numbers earlier in the week, but still a good variety of species including “my” Phoebe and resident marauding juv. Cooper’s Hawk who always seems to end up empty handed,
or empty-taloned!

Bring on the Siskins!
