Subject: [CT Birds] Bluff Point big Robin Flight and Lapland Longspur
Anthony Vicciarelli and I were at Bluff Point in Groton this morning. Big
American Robin push conservatively estimated at 8,500 and about 3000
sparrows mostly White-throated. Also had a flyby Lapland Longspur as well
as continued pushes of Pine Siskins, Purple Finches, and Red-breasted
Nuthatches. Kinglets still mostly Ruby-crowned and total Kinglets numbers
conservatively estimated at 250. 62 species recorded in 3 hours. Probably
forgot one or two.
