The marsh ducks along the towpath at Vischer Ferry Preserve this morning were similar to the ones reported on Thursday. One new addition was a group of about 6 American Wigeon, mostly breeding plumaged males. Others include Green-winged Teal (many), Gadwall (3), Northern Pintail (4), American Black Duck, and Ring-necked Duck (1). I couldn't find the Shovelers that were present yesterday or any Wood Ducks. Songbirds include White-crowned Sparrow, White-throated Sparrow, Dark-eyed Junco, and Ruby-crowned Kinglet. Also, at least 15 male and 15 female runners from the Siena cross-country team on the towpath.
