Subject: IBET Wilson's Warbler in Westchester
This morning I had a male Wilson's Warbler in a garden in our
backyard. I think of any October Wilson's as latish. Interestingly e-bird
shows about 30 records this October in NE Illinois. This compares to only
one record last October in the same region. Going back to 2010 there are
generally fewer than 10 October records each year, so this is an unusual
year. A quick check of some other warblers that are largely gone by October
doesn't suggest to me that the large number of October Wilson's this year
is echoed in other warblers.
