Subject: [CT Birds] Lighthouse Point Park - 849 Hawks Thursday
Lighthouse Point Park, New Haven, 10-18-2018, 7am-5pm - 849 Hawks observed migrating with the help of Carol Goertz, Ed Haesche, Jim Cortina, Ken Merrifield, Lynn James, Matt Male, Paul Roberts, Sol Satin, Tom Murray and many others who joined in.

A Good day for Bald Eagles, Sharp-shinned Hawks, and American Kestrels that glistened in the bright sun. Highlights include 7 adult Bald Eagles, 5 adult male Northern Harrier and Merlin that powered through all day.

38 Turkey Vulture, 19 Osprey, 34 Bald Eagle, 20 Northern Harrier, 391 Sharp-shinned Hawk, 120 Cooper’s Hawk, 1 Red-shouldered Hawk, 2 Broad-winged Hawk, 17 Red-tailed Hawk, 115 American Kestrel, 39 Merlin, 5 Peregrine Falcon, 35 Unknown Accipiter, 1 Unknown Buteo, 9 Unknown Falcon, and 3 Unknown Raptor.
