Subject: [CT Birds] Storrs woodpecker
The juvenile Red-headed Woodpecker continues visiting platform feeder
throughout the day from 1st. light to last light. Appears to be caching
seeds in the deep farrowed bark of the mature oak just to the east side of
the feeder. For approximately 20 minute periods the bird will go from the
feeder to the tree about every 1 to 2 minutes.
