Today’s Big SIT! at Pescadero Marsh was a great success, with 85 species detected over twelve hours of gloriously beautiful weather. Highlights included a BALD EAGLE, a BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER, vocally active SORA and VIRGINIA RAIL in the morning, three BLACK SCOTER, a BLACK-VENTED SHEARWATER, a SNOWY PLOVER, a MARBLED MURRELET, and a migrating SHARP-SHINNED HAWK. Twelve participants each made contributions to the efforts. Please consider donating to Sequoia Audubon in support of the Big SIT and the Big RIDE - http://www.sequoia-audubon.org/bigsit.html
