The Lancaster County Bird Club will meet Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the auditorium of the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Rd., Lancaster, PA.
Audubon Pennsylvania staffer Kelly McGinley will present “Roots & Wings: Cultivating Bird-Friendly Habitat with Fall-Friendly Native Plants.” The program will feature autumn as a prime season for planting natives. She will share ideas for building bird-friendly gardens this fall, as well as opportunities for sharing data on the birds who visit through community science programs. Kelly is Audubon Pennsylvania’s Project Coordinator for the Greater Harrisburg and York regions focusing on environmental education for elementary school students in urban districts as well as several of Audubon’s Bird Friendly Community programs.
A short business meeting will precede the program. The public is invited to attend free of charge and may call 717-984-2738 with questions.
