I just found out about this yesterday evening and got the details this morning. Probably way too late but you never know if it might still be in the area. According to eBird and MBP, there are no records of YHBL for Charles County. George would know!

It’s all fields and heavily wooded up against the Potomac and Pomonkey Creek here. A lot of wild area. We’re across from Chapman’s Forest and farm to south and Mason Neck and Leesylvania Park to west. Follow creek east and you might as well be in Ontario. Used to be ag. I think the tail end of Hurricane Florence blew bird north along river. I doubt the bird had any intention of relocating here.

Correct date shown above. Recorded correctly in Sibley with sighting notes at time/date of sighting. Powerful blackbird dipped headfirst in bright yellow paint with flashes of white on wings. I was in bed on a pile of pillows recovering from surgery for ruptured appendix. Saw bird thru huge bedroom window as it flew north over house roof.
