Subject: FOY G W-F Geese, R-B Nuthatch (Washington Co.)
Like several others, I, too, heard a RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH just a couple
blocks north of campus here in Fayetteville (yesterday). Word in the trees
is that this is predicted to be a strong flight year for them, hence why we
have noticed so many in the past week in the state. Also yesterday a flock
of about 100 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE flew high overhead, calling
melodiously (again, Fayetteville). Migration is in the air...literally. ;)
