Subject: [obol] A few Coos Birds 10/3/18
On my early morning walk this AM pre-dawn near my place in Coos Bay I saw a
fly-over calling Barn Owl headed south. The bright moon made it easy to
see. Also heard a few Swainson’s Thrushes; we have had migrants as late as
the third week of October.

At New River, Coos on west side of river heard two Laplands and saw a few
flocks of GWGO on river, the largest flock being 24 birds.

Checking eBird Coos noticed that Teri Spencer had a nighthawk perched on
her back porch in Bandon on 7 Sep- a new late date for Coos with a nice
photo.

Merry migration!
