Subject: 989 raptors in a little over 5 hours, Pennsburg area, Montgomery Co.
Hello PA Birders,

I had a very successful hawkwatch from my yard in the Pennsburg area today,
coming up with almost 1,000 raptors by the end of the count. Broadwings
made up the bulk of the flight, but over 60 other raptors were on the move
as well.

I counted 200 migrant Blue Jays and over 200 Canada Geese as well.

Here is my eBird checklist: https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S48673683

Judging from HawkCount reports, there are still thousands of Broadwings to
our north.

Enjoy the fall migration, everyone!

Good birding,
Paul Heveran
