Subject: [VA-bird] Migration and Kiptopeke Challenge

Some nice migrating birds have been spotted as of late.  One facet of the Kiptopeke Challenge (KC) is to highlight fall migration, and the 2018 KC is September 22nd.  If you’ve been putting off establishing a team or sponsoring a team, now is the time to do it.  Remember, you can bird anywhere in the coastal plain of VA…basically any areas east of Interstate 95.

Of course the other main reason to be involved with the KC is that it’s the main fundraising avenue for the Coastal Virginia Wildlife Observatory (CVWO).  Without the support from the KC, CVWO could not accomplish its mission.

If you would like to register a team, support a team, or learn more about CVWO and the KC, please visit our website at  Or, you can contact me directly at <youkerd...>
