Subject: [MASSBIRD] quick note on Red Crossbills
Hi Birders,

There still appear to be a few Red Crossbills in the area, perhaps a pulse
of birds that is arriving because of a spectacular breeding season (mainly
Types 1 and 10) north of us last year. During late summer and fall, look
for the birds in white, red, and pitch pines, and also large groves of
Norway Spruces if they are around.

Happy fall migration, also, since it is that time of year!

Good Birding
