Visited the SE Corner of Shollenberger park (Point Blue Entrance) and found 27 Baird’s Sandpipers they were flocked together and moving back and forth along the eastern edge, they’re in various stages of Molt. Found an additional 4 on the next pond toward the main entrance. Only a few least and 3 avocets were at the pond on the time we visited. This is the most Baird’s we’ve ever seen in Northern California. Is this the Highest count ever? Thank you Lisa and Peter for reporting them yesterday.
