Yesterday I birded and botanized at Wolf Creek Narrows. The Turk's Cap Lily, which is magnificent there was blooming nicely and should be at its peak in about one week. I found a nice variety of birds including a singing Louisiana Waterthrush. My list of bird highlights is below:

Louisiana Waterthrush
Ovenbird
American Redstart
Kentucky Warbler
Hooded Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Blue-headed Vireo
Scarlet Tanager
Acadian Flycatcher
Wood Thrush
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
