Toddy, Labird: The few that I see in the dog days are tied to feeding on fish in the Red River and are nearly always adults.

Bald Eagles are present year round in central Louisiana. Check eBird for data on state wide annual occurrence of the species. They are less likely to be encountered in summer but are here.
