Subject: [CT Birds] Horned Grebe, etc. -Stratford
7/5. Stratford, Long Beach West - The breeding-plumaged HORNED GREBE continues, as does a female LONG-TAILED DUCK. Both were a few jetties down (west) from the end of the lot. Also seen were one LAUGHING GULL and a definite minor migration of Swallows, including Tree, Barn, and two Purple Martins. (There was also an early migrant Bank Swallow at Stratford Point).
Note: a parking fee is charged for out-of-town visitors.
