Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday June 28. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On June 26 a GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE was in Fields.

The first southward movements of shorebirds were reported during the week.
Mainly WESTERN SANDPIPERS AND GREATER YELLOWLEGS, with a few WHIMBREL. Among
the migrant shorebirds at Malheur NWR Headquarters were two LESSER
YELLOWLEGS.

On June 21 an adult HEERMANNıS GULL was at Carter Lake south of Florence. A
SANDHILL CRANE was photographed June 23 in Idaville south of Tillamook. On
June 21 an EASTERN KINGBIRD was photographed at Northeast 85th and Siskiyou
in Portland. Two NIGHT-HERONS flew over Silverton June 26. On June 22 a
breeding plumaged HORNED GREBE was on Dexter Reservoir east of Eugene.
