Subject: [CT Birds] Northern Parulas in CT
While I have no knowledge of No. Parulas nesting CT, they​ do nest at our
Maine house. In my experience they use usnea lichen exclusively and the
nests are not necessarily high. I have walked right into them hanging over
the trail on our property. They look like usnea moss balls ranging in size
from large softball to soccer ball size.
