Subject: [JERSEYBI] Help with Gambel's Quail in Edison
Hello all

Had a call from a woman in Edison who has what turns out to be a Gambel's
Quail in her yard. A very handsome male bird. Obviously not native to
NJ. She is concerned about it, doesn't know where it came from and who to
call to come get it.

Does anyone here on the list have any ideas? Is someone in the Edison area
breeding Gambel's Quail? I assume it escaped from someone/somewhere but
the question is whom/where?

If you doubt the veracity of the identification, go to Wild Bird Kingdom on
Facebook and you'll see the video showing the bird and it's calling.

Thanks in advance for any help!
