Subject: Scissor-tailed flycatchers Darst bottomroad (off if 94 in St Charles County)
Checked out this location midday toady and found 4 STFC at 3 locations on this and adjacent gravel roads. 2 of the birds were harassing crows and another one was chasing a Great Horned Owl. Both of these events were occurring with the flycatchers chasing the larger birds out of Cottonwoods in 2 different locations so assumed there is some nesting going on there.
Also had a Prarie Warbler along the paved trail across 94 from the pond on the right side of 94 as you pass the turn off for Busch conservation area.
