Subject: IBET Swallow Cliff this morning
I went to Swallow Cliff Forest Forest Preserve this morning. Best
bird was a male Kentucky Warbler carrying food. I spent some time with
it. It was very agitated, but I couldn't find a nest or young and didn't
confirm a female. But I think they nested.
Other highlights included 2 Pileated Woodpeckers, 3 Acadian
Flycatchers, 3 Veeries, American Redstart, and singing male Summer Tanager.
