Subject: Chimney Swift Tower Monitoring (Western PA Counties)

Chimney Swift nesting season is upon us! Please help Audubon Society of
Western Pennsylvania (ASWP) monitor usage of its 150 Chimney Swift towers
throughout the SW Pennsylvania Region. Chimney Swift towers provide nesting
and roosting habitat for this important bird. If you see birds entering or
near a tower, please take note of the tower ID number and submit your
observations at There are 100 Chimney Swift towers in the
Allegheny County Parks, along the riverfront in Millvale, and throughout
parks and other community spaces. Check the map (link provided below) to
find towers near you.

Nesting season is great time of year to observe the birds entering and
exiting the towers throughout the day. Please help ASWP's Chimney Swift
conservation efforts by helping us track tower usage. It doesn't take long
and it's good for the birds!
