Subject: Nest materials
Once again we have a raccoon raiding our bird feeder.  (We've taken it down for a few days to try to break the habit.)  However, a titmouse took advantage of the visit and sat on the back of the raccoon, yanking out beak-fuls of hair to line her nest.  The raccoon was pretty oblivious, only turning her body occasionally in annoyance.  The titmouse was undeterred, coming right back to yank some more! Luanne Bowers
