On the mud flats on the north end of the Spring Bluff Forest Preserve between the main road and the newly rebuilt trail there was a small flock of shorebirds including a couple Dunlin, a couple Semipalmated Plovers, and a few other small shorebirds, couldn't tell what they were but were smaller and showed mostly white when they flew. Also were Killdeer and a Spotted Sandpiper that was farther to the south in the vegetation. A Great Egret and a couple Sandhill Cranes were also in the area. State Line Beach just had the usual gulls, people, and dogs.
