Some of you older Pennsylvania Birders knew Alice Fuller. Her life "focused on observing, studying, and writing about birds". She graduated in 1946 from Cornell armed with an M.S. in Wildlife and from there had a busy and enthusiastic life.

It is with much sadness that I share with the State College Bird Club about the passing of Alice Fuller last week at age 94. We have lost a cherished member of our State College birding community.

She was a long time member and a vital part of the State College Bird Club who warmly welcomed many of us into the birding. Alice was passionate about birds and shared this passion through her writing, by leading field trips and by educating new and experienced birders. She shared her love of all things birds with her family, friends and everyone she met. I fondly remember many dinners, surveys and field trips with Alice and especially the "Fuller birding tours." Information about memorial donations and condolences can be found at [ | ] .

My love, thoughts and prayers are with Ted and Roana.
