Subject: [ia-bird] Mississippi Kite - Johnson County
Today, I found a Juvenile MISSISSIPPI KITE at the Hawkeye Wildlife area of
Coralville Lake. Specifically, it was at the intersection of Greencastle
and Swan Lake Rd.

It was sitting on a dead snag at the very top of the tallest tree in the
Northeast quadrant of the intersection. It looked around for 5 to 10
minutes and then flew off to the Northeast. This is the same area that
one showed up a few years back when the Swallow-Tailed Kite was in the
area. Hope it will stick around awhile!

It was a very disappointing day for warblers.
