The Bay-breasted warbler I encountered at Nash Farm this afternoon was so close (maybe 10 ft) foraging in the low branch of an osage orange tree that I felt like he might consider becoming my little pet. The warblers are continuing their wave; with a short walk at Bolivar Heights this morning, and one at Nash in the afternoon, I enjoyed a nice variety and good views of most. Here at home, the Blackpolls keep singing in the yard with each passing day.
