Subject: [CT Birds] East Rock Park New Haven fallout
To supplement Bill Bank's earlier post about the East Rock fallout. The
majority of the activity was at the summit which was more or less fog
free. The noise created by the birdsong was amazing. As the day
progressed and the fog started to dissipate, the birds started moving north
down the summit road. Total warbler species count was 24 which is a season
high. This fallout was the largest that Mark Scott, Bill Banks, or myself
have ever seen at this park (we all average over 20 years of birding this
